Assemblages (The Zoyg Collection) by David Derr

David Derr's Zoyg assemblages are creations of playfulness. The assemblages are also an xperiment in creating pieces that would attract three art collectors of three markets, Folk Art, Antiques, and Contemporary Art. The "Zoyg" series incorporate all sorts of found object, however many of them start with basic childrens play blocks. Objects that are old, weathered and rusted have always attracted Derr, some of the pieces contain modern objects artificially rusted for that antique look. And then there are the Barbie dolls.......
